The inside line on
tonight's empty tables.
Halfseat is a same-day list of the seats that the kitchens you actually want to eat at couldn't fill. Wood-fire rooms, natural-wine bistros, tasting menus, the local pubs doing Sunday lunch properly. The kind of list a critic would keep on a burner phone.
How it works: claim a seat for £5, eat for half off the food bill, drinks at full price. The kitchen keeps its margin, you get a table at a room you'd struggle to walk into otherwise.
We don't list everywhere. Each venue is held to the same bar — we'd eat there at full price. That's the only filter that matters.
We start in Brighton in summer 2026. Bristol and Bath follow within 90 days. London comes last, when we can fight for it properly.
